I have studied with a teacher for over four years, and I still continue to study, but I have also begun to do consultations and healings. I help to lead ceremonies with my new teacher, dona Othelia. In comparison to her, I would say I still have 100 years of learning to catch up to her. It´s sometimes daunting, realizing that you´ll never learn it all, but that´s why they say that it´s in the journey and not the destination. I am so thankful for having the universe guide me to this path, and so appreciative of all the people who have helped me stay on it, or find my way when I was lost. I feel such a special connection to the universe, to God, to the spirits that have guided me and continue to guide me, that I knew the Ayahuasca Foundation must become a reality. The wisdom that I have been fortunate enough to experience for myself is the truth that can set us all free. We can all be healed, and in turn help others to achieve peace and satisfaction in their lives. We have a saying in curanderismo, ¨nothing is impossible, when you truly believe.¨ That is the essence of reality for me, and I have seen it demonstrated time and time again when people start to believe in their own spirit, their own connection to a power greater than the universe itself. Nothing is impossible. I will be doing my best to serve the Ayahuasca Movement, the revolution of the human spirit, and I hope you will help me in whatever way you can. One way is simply to leave me a comment with your support.

Well,
Technically it’s the Amazon Rainforest, but I really live in the city of Iquitos, located in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon. There are no roads that lead here, so you have to fly in. I did once take a boat here. It took five days but was an amazing adventure. I hope to write about it in a non-fiction to be out next year. Hopefully, it will help to raise awareness and funds for the Ayahuasca Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit organization that my wife and I began this year, to help promote the science of plant spirit medicine, called curanderismo, as well as preserve its traditions and educate people through conscious sustainable tourism. We have so many great ideas, but lack the funds to get them going. What we are focusing on now is the documentation of the infinite amount of knowledge the healers of the jungle possess.
Curanderos, as they’re called here, are familiar with thousands of different medicinal plants, and their perspective on healing is so different and unique, that it is difficult to understand, especially if you consider them primitive. The scientists of medicine have been studying an ancient practice that predates history, and it has perserved intact up to now. Unfortunately, due to ignorance and greed, the sacred wisdom of the curanderos is in danger of being lost to the lure of materialism and an economy of deceit. It is up to the conscious light workers to ensure that the light of love, peace, and harmony not be lost, and that the traditions of our ancestors be continued, relearned, relived.
If you haven’t guessed, I feel very passionate about preserving what remains of one of the most ancient lineages ever, and at the heart of this sacred lineage of wisdom lies the magical medicine ayahuasca. Throughout the Amazon, over 80 distinct tribes had knowledge of its use, and anthropological data has shown that the medicine has been used for over 2,500 years. Containing a chemical that is produced by the brain upon the moment of death, it is the most unique medicine known, and yet so little is known of it outside of the Amazon Rainforest. It’s unbelievable powers to allow participants to enter other dimensions and achieve miraculous healings is growing in awareness, but it needs to grow more. Ayahuasca needs to become a well known word, and the concepts within the medicine, that of the spirit, must become truths in our lives, for the truth of the spirit is the most powerful truth of all.
WE ARE SPIRITS HAVING HUMAN EXPERIENCES
I hope that with the help of conscious spiritual beings we can raise our vibrations to shine our light onto the world, the way ayahuasca wants us to. May we fulfill our destinies and become children of light and love, and may all the sickness of the world be healed. The curanderos of the Amazon are willing to show us the way through the ayahuasca dimensions, and it is time for us to return to our roots. The revolution of the human spirit has begun, and not a moment too soon.

Welcome to the Ayahuasca Foundation Website. This site is designed to encourage communication between those who are interested in learning about ayahuasca, those who are in need of healing, and those who have experience with curanderismo, the sacred art of Amazon Plant Spirit Medicine. I hope you find interesting and helpful information here, and perhaps you´ll consider becoming a member or making a contribution to our mission to protect and preserve the ancient wisdom of the Amazon Rainforest. Ayahuasca has become a symbol for all plant spirit medicine, and it is our hope that through this symbol, more and more individuals like yourself will get involved in the ayahuasca movement, the movement to return the spirit to our lives and put everything back into perspective. We are living in crazy times, and darkness seems to grow each day. With the help of the curanderos of the Amazon and the sacred plant ayahuasca, we can help bring back the light and show us the way to our own salvation. May we all find peace and happiness and may our future generations look back at our achievements with smiles and love. Thank you for visiting this site, and please consider visiting it again and again, and helping us in whatever way you can.
cuidate hermanos y hermanas,
Carlos Tanner
